Final Blog

Hi,

I yet have eight weeks here in Canada. What I know? Sometimes I think that I know many things, sometimes I think that I don't know nothing. However 8 weeks gave me some experiences. The new students coming to YUELI  should seize everything here. The YUELI is a perfect English course: the teachers and the students are wonderful. All professionals are patients, and they help us.

My advice is :
  1. You have to study, and you should to do homework. This is the best way of to learn English.
  2. Don't have afraid. It`s not important to err. The error is learning, is knowledge.
  3. Don't have afraid of to speak. You need to improve your English.
  4. Read, write and listen. You need to improve your English. Don't forget this.
  5. Look what your bigger difficulty and you should to work more in this.
  6. Ask for help always that to need. The YUELI people go help you.
  7. Participate of the activities.
  8. Watch TV series, movies, listen musics, read blogs, sites, magazines and newspaper.
  9. Go outside your home. You need to meet the places because this is good for you (you can read news word, talk with someone, hear the dialogues).
  10. Force your English. Preferably you isn't living with Brazilians because you need to work your English, and you will only talk in Portuguese if to live Brazilians people.
  11. Canada isn't Brasil. If your city in Brazil is hot (as mine), you should to buy cold clothes.
  12. Get used with the end  of the early ballads. Here is other culture but don't make your life only party.
  13. Ask for hep always that to need. Don't have afraid.

Favorite movie

Hi,

My favourite movie is The Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith and your son - Jaden Smith. This movie explain about the life and what is important it. Will Smith served as Chris Gardner, a family father that had financial problems. He was married, but his wedding wasn't held and his wife leaved. He was single father now and needed to care his son (he is 5 years old). He tried everything for to get more money, so he got a phase a stockbroker, but he didn't receive salary for this.

This was very difficulty because he needed money for survive and to care his son. Their were evicted and the two (father and son) started to sleep in shelters, trains station, bathrooms, and any other place where they could refuge. After this difficulty Chris got to be employed in the same stockbroker and his life began to improve.

This movie is beautiful. I watched twice and cried the twice because it is very exciting. It is wonderful to look and understanding through movie that the money is not the thing  more important in life, and that the family, good actions, friends, humble, love, care and respect are important so much because with self-confidence and the love and trust of his son, Chris Gardner rises above his obstacles. A child (his son) had many confidence in it father. I thought beautiful to see this.

I feel very emotional, happy and with a sensation of that everything can to be good, that the worries can to be resolved, and that family is the best thing that we can to have in our life. Nothing is impossible in this life. This movie was produced in 2006 and was based in a true story, and it gender is drama. It is set in San Francisco, California, USA.

For me, the best scene of movie is the scene in that they are playing basketball. This is moment in that Chris talk with his son: "Never let anyone tell you that you can not do something. Not even me. All right? You gotta dream you gotta protect you. People can't to win and think the same for yourself, and tell you that you can't doing. Se you have a dream, run behind him.". Chris and his son are my favourite character because they are humbles and strong.

In short,

If you want something, go behind.

Close Call

Hi,

Once I almost got locked outside my apartment in Brazil. Yes. I wouldn't as to enter it unless a locksmith would break my door. At this time I lived in Salvador in an apartment that isn't the same now. In this old apartment the people should put all trash of the house in the dump at 6:00 pm. I lived in the sixth floor and each dweller had to put it trash in the dump of it floor because after a worker would take this trash and put in the place of collection.

In this day (I don't remember the date now, but the year was 2005) I was in  my home and I went to put the trash of my house in the dump of the my floor. I yet was with sleepwear (was a baby doll with a mini short and mini blouse. Both very comfortable,  shorts, and almost transparent) - I love to use sleepwear inside my house because is more comfortable - and the people that lived with me wasn't in house (some is working and some is studying). The people that lived in same floor that me also wasn't in the building. I almost never saw the other residents of the building.

So I invented of put the trash of my house in the dump of the my floor the way I was. Yes, in a baby doll. However I forgot my keys on the inside of the door. I thought that as wouldn't have anyone in the building, and this was a fast thing that there wouldn't be problem. So I went to put the trash out. Everything was well until when I was returning  the door was closing and would beat. I ran like crazy because I had afraid of getting stuck  on the corridor of the my floor and still of sleepwear.

I got there just in time to push the door before it closed, but after my heart was racing. I had afraid, because I wouldn't want to stay  outside my house mainly with sleepwear (not conditions). I imagined a lot of people looking me dressed like that and outside the home. Horrible imagination. The people that lived with me only would arrive into home at 8:00 pm, 9:00 pm, and 10:00 pm. It would be horrible waiting, but, thank God, everything worked out and I almost got locked outside my apartment. Almost.
